After that the only thing that might help, at least for me it did, is reinstalling the game and save very often. I still get stuck sometimes if I try to climb a ledge and have to use task mager to terminate the process. But after reloading it works most of the time.

The trick to climbing is simple, if you want to simply pull yourself up and over an edge, stand as close to the edge you want to climb and jump straight up. Your character will automatically pull himself up. If you try jumping into the cliff edge while moving forward it won't work you need to be stationary for best results.

Use the Levitation spell if you want to get across an area that doesn't allow you to jump straight up to. Jumping across a gap and falling short will not allow you to automatically pull yourself up, this isn't Tomb Raider. Get that through your head as you play and you'll discover that there is no bug to climbing up ledges, just learn the controls and physics of the game and you'll be fine.

I downloaded it and ran the program, it replaced some files but the game still has the same memory message on startup. I hear it helps to set the exe to compatibilty mode for winxp sp3 and set it to run as administrator.
